Day 1
Fly overnight to Johannesburg.
Day 2
Board a connecting flight to Kasane, a journey which should take roughly two hours. Here you will be greeted and transferred into the Chobe National Park for a three night stay at Chobe Under Canvas. This afternoon you will enjoy your first game viewing activity.
Day 3
Morning and afternoon game viewing activities close to the Chobe Riverfront, which will include game drives and river cruises. During the dry season, huge herds of elephant and buffalo come to the river, so a surprising volume of game can be seen from the water.
Day 4
Another day of game viewing activities in the Chobe Riverfront area. This is big game country, with the large numbers of buffalo and antelope attracting plentiful lion and hyena.
Day 5
This morning’s activity will end at Kasane airport, for a short light aircraft transfer to Savute, on the western border of the national park. In this legendary wildlife area you will stay for two nights in a semi-permanent tented camp at Savute Under Canvas.
Day 6
Morning and afternoon game drives will visit the expansive Savute Marsh and the now re-flowing Savute Channel. The interaction between lion and elephant is just one of the fascinating wildlife spectacles of Savute. One of the game drives may also take in the intriguing San Bushman rock paintings at Gubatsa Hills.
Day 7
Time for one more game drive in the Savute area before your light aircraft transfer into the the heart of the Okavango Delta. Here you will stay for three nights on the private Nxabega Reserve.
Day 8
A full day of exploring the concession by vehicle, boat and potentially on foot. Nxabega has some excellent “wet camp” activities such as mokoro excursions.
Day 9
Another packed day of game viewing activities in the Delta. If there are any animals you’ve missed during your itinerary, just let your guide know and they will make searching them out a priority!
Day 10
After breakfast you’ll catch a light aircraft transfer to Maun and a short flight to Johannesburg. Your flight home will travel through the night.
Day 11
Arrive back in the UK.

The Chobe Riverfront, Savute Marsh and Okavango Delta are some of the most renowned safari destinations in Southern Africa for the sheer volume and diversity of wildlife. With all three relatively close to each other in northern Botswana, they can be combined easily in short transfers that mean you won’t miss out on any game viewing activities. The two “Under Canvas” camps run by &Beyond, and the permanent camp Nxabega, are fantastic bases from which to explore the bush: authentic and wild, with only canvas separating you from the animals, but with high standards of service, comfort and guiding for which &Beyond are known.
