Botswana’s Kalahari salt-pans and grasslands are an ethereal, genuinely spectacular natural wonder. Dried up lake beds in the desert provide spectacular scenery and isolation, with some truly breathtaking wildlife spectacles in the rainy season. Vast herds of plains game, including the famous zebra and wildebeest migration, head south from the Delta to the Boteti River. This itinerary is most attractive from roughly November to April, but a trip that takes in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Nxai Pan National Park and Okavango Delta is enticing at any time!
