Mapula Lodge lies in a private 90,000 hectare concession in the Okavango Delta surrounded by floodplains and waterways. This classic Delta landscape has an abundance of wildlife and Mapula is perfectly positioned to enjoy exhilarating game viewing in a blissfully uncrowded area.
Built on stilts the 9 thatch and canvas chalets enjoy private decks and glorious views over the lagoon which is home to a resident pod of hippos, Mapula is an unpretentious lodge which blends seamlessly into the surrounds.
Activities include game drives and night drives, plus mokoro excursions and boat trips (depending on water levels), fishing (seasonal) and walking safaris. For an extra cost you can also enjoy a helicopter flip or perhaps an early morning hot air balloon ride.
